GCC Ministers Advance Plans for Unified Gulf Economic Model

Qatar’s Minister of Finance, HE Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, led his country’s delegation at the seventh ministerial meeting of the Standing Preparatory Committee of the Economic and Development Affairs Authority, held in Kuwait. The meeting brought together finance and economy ministers from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states to evaluate progress toward a unified Gulf economic model.
Ministers discussed strategies to deepen economic cooperation, align national visions, and accelerate the implementation of initiatives under the GCC’s roadmap for economic unity. The meeting also reviewed the timeline for integration projects and examined updates on the GCC Economic Integration Index, emphasizing the need to enhance collective performance across member states.
Progress on approved initiatives was assessed to ensure they continue to support economic integration and shared development objectives. The discussions reaffirmed the GCC’s commitment to achieving full economic unity and strengthening joint Gulf cooperation for sustainable regional growth.
